Our Collaborators
The Palavicini lab works very close with a number of internal and external collaborators. Doing science in isolation is not only archaic but boring. Collaborations bring our research to the next level.
Internal Collaborators

Dr. Hopp, together with Dr. Palavicini, co-leads the PLCG2/Alzheimer's/Aging project, funded by the Alzheimer's Association. They currently co-mentor three students and shared co-correspondence in a recent preprint.
(210) 450-8657

Drs. Griffith, Palavicini, and Hopp recently received a pilot grant entitled "Exploring the impact of PLCG2 function and risk variant mutations on T cell tolerance in late-onset Alzheimer's disease".
(210) 567-3978

Dr. Koronowski, together with Dr. Palavicini, co-leads the chronic jet lag/Alzheimer's/Aging project, funded by the William and Ella Owens Medical Research Foundation.
(210) 450-7147

The Palavicini and Goldberg labs are collaborating on a project examining how stroke influences Alzheimer’s disease-related pathologies, leveraging next-generation animal models, advanced imaging platforms, and transcriptomic profiling.
(210) 450-7147

Drs. Norton and Palavicini have been collaborating since 2020, these efforts have led to two co-authored publications and a preprint.
(210) 567-0739

Elizabeth Fernandez, PhD
Dr. Fernandez leads the Nathan Shock Center Integrated Physiology of Aging (IPA) Core. The Palavicini lab is a frequent user of multiple services that the IPA core offers.
(210) 562-6050

Mansour Zadeh, PhD
Dr. Zadeh is studying the impact of vitamin B12 deficiency in neuro-degenerative diseases. Drs. Zadeh and Palavicini have co-authored one publication and are submitting several MPI grants.
(210) 567-4880
External Collaborators

(Wake Forest University)
Dr. Orr, a "Rising star" in Alzheimer's disease and senescence, and Dr. Palavicini have been collaborating since 2020, these efforts have led to two co-authored publications and more to come.
